I finally found the company that makes moister sensors that I was asked about 6 months ago. This is the company that makes a box that senses the moister and by-passes the watering cycle. You can get the whole kit or just the sensors. The sensors work on the osmosis principle measuring capacitance to sense the amount of moister. They just pulse the sensor when a cycle is due to see if it should be skipped. To really be correct you should alternate the pulse sides of the sensor. The company is: Irrometer Co. Box 2424 Riverside, CA 92516 Phone 909-689-1701 This is 4-5 years old so who knows if they are still in business? Any response use my personnel mail, as I will be signing off the list for a while. I will be moving to Grafenwohr, Germany. Any PIC-sters in the Nurnberg area? ---------------------------------------------------------- Steven M. Davidson sdavidson@lycosmail.com
