Interesting part, but be careful here: it looks like it's really an 8 bit
converter, but you can configure it to return it's results as up to 16
bits. The note on page 22 says:

"In the shaded areas [anything over 8 bits resolution] the accuracy is
less than the resolution. The conversion results may include random
noise."

Still a spiffy little 8 bit converter...
