We use these in our ICE. These are ACTUAL PRODUCTION SILICON with extra connections bonded out to extra pins to give us more control and status information. These devices behave just like the real silicon because they ARE the real silicon. In addition, the extra control and visibility they provide allows one to produce a more advanced debugger than is possible with the Scenix or ICD arrangements (unlimited breakpoints, complex breakpoints, no stack usage, no code space usage, data breakpoints, trace, timing, break when the stack over/underflows..).
