Hey guys (and gals), A friend of mine just gave me an O'Scope because he doesn't work in the electronics field anymore. I've been wanting a scope forever because, being a visual person, I feel like it's the key to a better understanding of electronics. The thing is, this puppy's got more switches and knobs than I've got brain cells. It does have a manual (which I'll begin reading today) but I'm hoping someone here on the list might be willing to assist in the form of mentoring. I'm not asking or expecting an in depth training course, just hoping that someone out there might be willing to say "You've got knob xyz at the wrong setting" type of thing. If your willing please email me off-list at eric@kedcoent.com. I guess specific experience with this scope will make it easier to help me so here are the specs: Tektronix 2230 100Mhz DSO with P6109 10X probes. I guess my first question is, Is there anything else I'll need to get started ? Aside from some sense, that is . Thanks for your time, Eric
