As so many people on these lists have purchased the dt106smp 87x proto boards seen at: http://www.dontronics.com/dt106.html you should be aware of the following. During our final schematic check out and hardware test (also known as Don's Friday night beer drinking session), we found a schematic error that gave us an incorrect net list and final artwork fault on the dt106smp boards. If you wish to use the 10 pin header on the DT106SMP boards as an isolate and program/run board, you will need to isolate pin 11 of the 40 pin chip, as VCC and VDD are connected together via the chip itself. To do this you will need to cut the track that runs on the component side of the board to pin 11. With pin 11 left now unconnected, all is fine. You can also bend the pin so it is outside the socket. This has been fixed on the final board. One of the problems with two supply pins and net names. :-) And boy, did this one take some finding. We were able to prove the load/run feature of the board in slot one of a dt001 board, and also as a stand alone unit, so it could be used as an emulator for any 87x target board Also proved rs-232 comms. The new board design will go to the fab man this weekend.
