The OBDII standard is outlined in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
document J1850.
I was just looking at this on their site the other day but was unwilling to
pay $100 Canadian to get this document for a hobby. If anyone is register as
a SAE could they make this document available?

I couldn't find anything on OBDI which naturally is what I need for my car.
