G'day to all! I'm about to start a project that requires a low power display that operates to -30C. I only need 4 digits, so am considering using a LCD driver and low temperature glass (no onboard driver). I've had good luck with this in past, where the driver was a NS 4 digit counter. This time, I need to form some simple characters on the display. The NS counter won't let me do that, so I'm looking for a serial LCD driver chip that will talk to a 4 digit non-multiplexed display. What parts are being used out there? Any problems with delivery? This is a low volume client - I expect to ship only a hundred or so units over the lifetime of the product.
