I borrowed a 2nd dat player (and remember these players are > 5 yrs old) and analog bounced some commercial material to compare the difference. I was careful with the levels, and myself, friends (some in the business, some not) and family couldn't hear the difference after 5 bounces. No way are you going to be able to hear after one (in my humble opinion). They were reasonable quality, well maintained decks, of course. /Nick
