Boy that (common) mis-spelling (always) really cracks me up! ;-)) Leo wrote: > I'm, thinking that the today PC at 400 Mhz and over, with a > bidirectional parallel printer port should be a nice platform to build > a simple and most economic logic analazer. Don't get that enthusiastic about the parallel port. It's not *that* fast and is most unlikely to handle in real-time the datastream you would want (and USB wouldn't either). You therefore need a capture system and then the speed of the PC is far less significant unless of course you use Windoze software :) Caveat: Experience: No! Oh yes, a design was published in the local (Australian) mags in the last year or so. Electronics Australia or Silicon Chip. May have indexes on website. -- Cheers, Paul B.
