AS for the magazine stuff I did not follow that one all the much, just seem many peolple attempting to get rid if some subscriptions, but have been very intersted in the sample stuff (I see that the thread has altered itslef again). I used to have quite some troubles in obtaining samples for the item I was working on (Seems that the company I worked for at the time had the occasional run in with vendors), but in my current position they throw them at me (In quite large number too), even if I say that they are only for evaluation, so from my point it does not seem to matter how many; just whom you are. As for my comments on the sample stuff I was looking at the ethics bit, hence why the comments seem to be tounge in cheek, just trying to make a point). I would like to know the results of the ethics discussion please Dennis >Dan > >-----Original Message----- >From: Dennis Plunkett >To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU >Date: Tuesday, August 24, 1999 12:55 PM >Subject: Re: [OT] Ethics (was Re: MAXIM small orders system) > > >>At 09:40 24/08/99 -0500, you wrote: >>>This is not a flame - just an interesting part of watching the list. >Please >>>don't take it to mean approval or disapproval of any of the posts (quoted >or >>>otherwise). >>> >>>Isn't it interesting that the users of the list (in another thread) freely >>>tolerated people who falsely claimed they were CIOs or CEOs of huge >>>organizations so that the free magazines could continue to roll in >monthly, >>>but claiming to be an engineering student (even if true?) so that a >company >>>would send them a single $3.00 (nominal) part is not as ethical? >>> >>>Dan >>> >> >>I have to flame you Dan, as you attached this to MY RESPONSE AND I DID NOT >>ENTER THE THREAD ON THEM MAGAZINES (Consider yourself flamed) >> >>Dennis >> >> >> >>> >>> >>> >>>>At 23:17 23/08/99 -0400, you wrote: >>>>>Hi Tim! >>>>> >>>>>I am also a teen (19) hobbyist/student.
