PICList Excerpt from a post to a friend fyi .... People were discussing alternatives for LM324's recently for 5v single supply operation. There are a number of single supply amps available on the market. Many sacrifice rail to rail for performance. Here's one which is a much better performer than the LM324 but which operates on a maximum of 5.25 volts "Vcc" and down to around 2 volts. Gain bandwidth is 10+ MHz and slew rate is 10V/uS plus. Makes a LM324 look very very slow (which it is) These come in single / dual / quad versions. The only bad thing I can see about them is the price - in ones they are from $US2.58 for the single to $US6.40 for the quad (cheapest version of each).
