Simple and >easy to impliment. > >Please reply off list to dgourlay@home.com I programmed a 16C508 to do this--perfect square wave at 120 Hz for driving LCD's, a one second precise pulse for long timer periods, and a 1/4 second on every ten seconds to conserve battery life while driving an LED. Run the PIC at 3.3 or 3.5 volts for lowest power draw, and interface using 74LVC series if you need to drive the LED at higher voltages. Enjoy.
