The Micro-bRISC Device Programmer freeware software has been updated to support the following flash PICmicros: PIC16F83, PIC16F84, PIC16F84A (the freeware version also supports these PICmicros: PIC16C61, '62, '64, '65, '71, '73, '74, & PIC16C84) The Micro-bRISC Device Programmer is controlled via the parallel port, but actual programming is done via a PIC16C57 PICmicro running at 20 MHz. This is one of the fastest PICmicro programmers around. Programming a PIC16C77, for example, only takes 8 seconds! And that includes an automatic blank check and verify. The freeware HEX file to program into the PIC16C57 is available at: http://www.vgernet.net/kenetic/Firmware/ The Win95/Win98 software (Version 3.6) is available at: http://www.vgernet.net/kenetic/Micro-bRISC%20software/Windows%2095%20&%2098/ The Micro-bRISC schematic can be obtained at: http://www.vgernet.net/kenetic/PDF%20documentation/ schematic.PDF The Micro-bRISC is different. The software is very easy to use and graphical. Check it out.
