hello everyone,  this is my first posting .looking for an answer..this list
is very informative. well here goes..have been trying to communicate with
mplab 4.12 in win 98 setup...to my picstart-16c   version    1.3...I have a
serial port db9..that I know works.......for some reason mplab will not pick
up that  serial port....com2...
on com 1 is the internet com..mplab picks up com 1  and nothing else is
enabled...I have no conflicts and I am lost...first of all will mplab 4.12
work with picstart-16?or is picstart only for dos based programs?what is the
easiest programmer and software out there being used that I might be able to
use.
