I have learnt (using Netscape 4) to have JavaScript disabled until I come across something for which I really need it (some shonky search engines, for example). A *much* more pleasant experience. Wouldn't it be nice to have a browser set up for the brain-enabled with the Java on/ off button on the taskbar? Amongst all the hype (as on TV last night) about the Net "continuously evolving", I see very little real improvement in the last few years. But then my benchmark is the ability to locate *real* (as opposed to "virtual") data such as the datasheets for a NEC FC40X2D-AA VF display. Aha! Freecenter has just responded. It only took a minute or two! -- Cheers, Paul B.
