Ivan Zilic, an Atmel list member advises that he has developed an 8051 to
IDE Hard Disk interface.
The code (8051 assembler and C) plus extensive notes is free to all askers.
If you are one of the zillion people who have asked about this before
today, make his day and ask him for it.

If someone translates this to PIC successfully they will hopefully make it
available to the list.
