I'm currently working on just such a project myself. Have you looked at Testpoint from Capital Equipment Corporation? It beats the pants off Labview, is far more flexible, and best yet: NO STRING ART! We may discuss privately. Also, I have an upcoming project for ladder logic. However, the application can't afford Allen Bradley PLCs. I've seen several ads for cheap PLCs, anybody tried them? Also, there is an appnote using PICs to do ladder logic. Any comments?
