Saw this on the CC BBS---- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ Just for the record, we've been looking into making a small module that contains the core electronics of an X-10 receiver. It could function as an appliance, lamp, or momentary module by simply "telling it what it is supposed to be". I/O type and current capacity is determined by simply attaching the appropriate relay or triac to the output lines. And while it could be operated on 120V, I suppose, this module would operate on 12 or 24 VAC (12VAC is not as easy to do as you might think). It would be a completely standalone receiver module. I/O and voltage is an external component change only. I'm thinking that all the model train people might get a kick out of this. Anyone have any comments or think it has potential in other areas?
