Go to http://www.xs4all.nl/~ganswijk/chipdir/fam/8051/8048.htm Unfortunately all the pages of the datasheet are stored as gifs, so it's a bit slooowww. The 8748 is the eprom version of the 8048. Both were the predecessors of the 8051 and the instruction set is very simmilar. Somewher I even have an assembler for the 8048, although I scrounged it from somewhere on the net so it's probably still around. I found this on Altavista BTW ;o) Mike Rigby-Jones > -----Original Message----- > From: Caisson [SMTP:caisson@TELEBYTE.NL] > Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 1999 12:30 PM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: Micro-controller NEC D8749HD (8048 family) - Info anyone ? > > Hello All, > > I've got a device at home with a 8748 Micro-controller on it, from which > I would like to know what it's instruction-set is (An EPROM is sitting > close by).
