I'm trying to use a PIC to drive several 24 volt DC motors, using an H-bridge so I can get forward and reverse with speed control. I'm just wondering what the easiest way is to drive the MOSFETS. It's easy to come up with a way to drive the low-side MOSFETS, since they only need 10 volts, but the high side MOSFETs need 34 volts at the gate. And at least the Maxim gate driver chips will only do 18 volts. So far, the only suitable driver I have found is the IR2110 from International Rectifier. Is this a good way to drive the H-bridge, or is there a better, simpler way to make this work? -Nicholas
