Christ was not put to death for what he did and tought (Crusifiction,
actually was not death, stavation and exposure was, and only the gards
(Whom often left) where there to stop those crusified from being rescued,
one could argue that it actually was fear that stoped other citizens from
doing this), but for what he stood for and the loss of power and control
that Pilot thought he represented.
(Waiting for the flames on that one)
