Hi Dennis, You'll get no argument from me here. I agree that the system is flawed,and I think that the media is a big part of it,as you suggest. I do disagree about the pay,however. I don't think anyone would ever become a politician because of the salary. I think power and graft are the main driving factors behind those who are just out to help themselves (the majority of them). I think a big part of the answer is term limits,and a return to people who are NOT politicians for their whole lives. (Of course, this doesn't solve everything, it just makes it harder for companies and SIG's to "buy" someone for themselves and have him as their own rep for years and years).
