They are designed to have screws mechanically secure them from the opposite side of the board, but since the back of the board is a keypad we can't use them. We tried super glue but they broke them free while putting wires in the screw terminals. Now we epoxy them to the board and have had no problem yet. If I could, I would definitely try to use through hole connectors. They are always a weak link both electrically and mechanically. The more securely you can mount them the better. Mark Walsh
