The LM339 and LM393 comparators were developed for single supply use. The LM339 has 4 comparators in a 14-pin package, the 393 has two in an 8-pin package. Both can be bought cheap from numerous makers. They may not be as fast as a 311 but that can be an advantage. Circuits with the 311 are often unstable. The others are not quite as prone to oscillate. ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it.
