FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF STUFF = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = We're cleaning out and we've got some random 'stuff' to give away. Those of you who've participated in this sort of thing before know the drill, but I'll re-hash it for the benefit of those who don't. I have a bunch of surplus power supplies (like 1500 or so) that supply 24VAC at 400ma from 115VAC. I also have some 240VAC input types, with a 24VAC/700ma output rating. We've changed over to a switching supply due to increased loads in our system, so we won't be using these. We've talked to the surplus dealers, but they're not giving us offers that are all that interesting, so I'd just as soon *give* them to you noble, upstanding, worthy PICListers. They're packed 36 to a box, about 41 lbs/box. If you want some, here's what ya gotta do. - Send me an email saying how many boxes you'd like. I'm not going to break up boxes, since I don't have time to do it. If I start to run short of units, I'll let you know that. Next...... - Send me a monetary unit (check, cash, MO, whatever) for the shipping charges, UPS Ground, from Corvallis, Oregon to wherever-you-are. If your address is a residence, add that UPS surcharge too. For a rate calculator, see http://www.ups.com/using/services/rave/qcost.cgi, and use 41 lbs as the weight, 15 x 17 x 9 inches, origin 97330, daily pickup, 'your packaging'. For example, to zone 8 (New York City), it's about $24/box. For zone 4 (Silicon Valley) it's about $11. - Include a shipping label with your name, address, city, state, zip, and any other routing information that UPS may need. Remember that UPS can't deliver to a PO Box number...they need a physical street address. - I'll slap your label on a box, and leave it on the dock for the UPS guy to haul off. You'll see it a week or so later. - BTW, I also have a bag full of bridge rectifiers, about 4A types. If you need some, to go with your power supplies, say so and I'll throw some in. I might be able to find some capacitors too..... Other free stuff...... We've got an assortment of nifty electronic 'stuff' around that we're going to have to get rid of. If you want to send along a 'quantity of monetary units' with a shipping label, I'll send back a box with a 'quantity of electronic stuff' proportional to the shipping cost. No garbage....if it's really junk, I'll toss it in the dumpster. But I hate to pitch perfectly good stuff just because we don't have a spot to park it anymore, or it's obsolete for future sale to our customers. I may have some small vacuum fluorescent displays, components, random PC stuff (anybody need a bunch of brand-new Token Ring cards?), motherboards, power supplies, LED display panels, speakers, sample parts, screws, nuts, etc. You don't get to pick anything specific, though if you have preferences I'll do what I can to accomodate them if I have a choice. We're moving our company headquarters down to Las Vegas, and squashing the office here in Corvallis down to a smaller area. And we've outsourced our manufacturing, so we're getting rid of some of the stuff related to that. It's free to you, else it goes in the landfill, even if it's perfectly good. I only have so much space in my garage.... FWIW, US Postal Service cheapo-parcel-post is about $10 more than UPS, so that's why I suggest you just use the UPS prices. Slower, too. Mark G.
