The B version is around 30% cheaper probably due to a die geometry reduction. Also, the max voltage you can pull RA4 (open drain) up to on the B version has been lowered. I think there are a few other spec differences as well, but they escape my memory. You need to get the datasheets for both and do some careful comparison. I think the datasheet for the PIC16C73B actually has a chart near the end that details the differences. Good luck.
