Howdy Folks!

I heard rumours that there has been some asking around
where I was.

Well, I was on leave for a *whole* 10 days with my wife.

We went to a game reserve next to the Kruger Park, where we saw
lions, elephants, rhino, buffalo, hippo's, hyena, tsesebe, impala,
giraffe and a few more I can't remember now. We slept under the
stars on a tree-house deck one night with all kinds of wild predators
and other nasties around. Nice! There is a resident leopard who
regards this reserve as part of his roaming area, so we couldn't
walk around without an armed ranger, but it added to the thrill.

To round off the whole experience, and to give it a distinct South
African flavour, I also got a speeding fine, and shot a burglar in
my house when we got back. (Jammer, ek het hom net gekwes ouens.)
