I'm trying to implement the third part of Microchip's apnote DS40160A/2 "Electromechanical Switch Replacement." This is a circuit for a potentiometer-controlled lamp dimmer. It uses a 12C671, which I have never used before. The program was written by Slav Slivov of Bulgaria for a 220V 50Hz line. I made changes in the program to accommodate a US 115V 60Hz line. When I breadboarded the circuit, it doesn't show any activity at all. Eduardo Rivera has implemented parts one and two of the apnote. His web page helped me to figure out what changes to make for US power. He's on vacation right now and unavailable. Looks like I've got to take a step backward to start figuring out what's wrong. This is the first chip with built-in A/D that I've tried to use. Has anyone built this circuit successfully? Thanks in advance for any help, Reg Neale
