Dont worry ! it IS erasable ! If you are using standard MPLAB software, all should go automatically ( IF you select the right controller in it's IDE that is ...). If you have a Home-brew programmer, the erasing of a Code-protected 16x84 is described in document DS30189D - page 9 : Disabeling code-protection.
