Any ideas? > I mentioned to you before that I had the same problem (but with Win9x), and it went away when I upgraded MPLAB. Which software versions are you using? Mine are: MPLAB 4.11 ProMate 5.00.00 Before I upgraded, sometimes it would take up to 10 attempts to download to the ProMate. When I got really frustrated, I would reboot my PC and the download would work the first time. I suspect you're correct that handshaking is the problem. --Matt
