By upper-mid-range PIC's I am referring to 'C72-77, 'F872-877, etc.  I
have been programming the upper-mid-range pics in assembly language for a
while now.  I would like to try using a compiler, but I really don't care
to shell out the cash for one of the commercial programs.  There are
quite a few free/shareware/low cost high level language compilers
available on the internet.  However, they all seem to be exclusively for
the PIC16F84.

Does anyone know of a freeware compiler that was written with the
upper-mid-level PIC's in mind?  I am looking for one that can handle the
increased program memory, increased ram, A/D converters, hardware serial
ports, etc.
