Another good one I've used used to be called Authentex Thunder Byte Anti-Virus - some other company bought it though, Norman Data Defense, apparently "assimilated" their code. I'll probably look at that one. A few people run two scanners when scanning everything overnight, IMO nothing's wrong with a *little* paranoia You can run most of these with command-line options to just scan MBR and memory, and later have them scan *.* when you want to do so (I do that.) Fast (bootup) use & full scans where I have notes, below. McAfee, http://www.mcafee.com or http://www.nai.com Use c:\McAfee\Scan.Exe /Boot /ADL {or if low on conv. Ram}, c:\McAfee\ScanPM.Exe /Boot /ADL Full Scan: Scan.Exe /ADL F-Prot, http://www.f-prot.com Use c:\F-Prot\F-Prot.Exe c: d: /Beep /Freeze /NoFile Full Scan: F-Prot.Exe /Beep /Freeze /Hard /Archive AVP, http://www.avp.com I can figure it out but don't have old batch files on this anymore Norman Virus Control, www.norman.com Full Scan Was tbscan32.exe AllDrives but now, WHO knows?
