I've gotten very leery to run any freshly downloaded software lately, for
fear of catching a bios/FAT/.c.asm.doc killer.

I also hate Symantec/Norton/McAfee types of virus programs, mostly because
they are huge self-important programs. I'd just like to scan my memory for
resident viruses or scan my hard disk at will.

Any recommendations?
