Maybe Scott jumped into the discussion at a later stage, but I believe he is pro Linux, and did not have a vested interest in slanging off potential customers. The actual originator of the rude bits should have known better, he probably scared off a lot of potential customers due to a moment's indiscretion. After a lot of contemplating his own [OT] navel (he he(what he suggested I do after informing him of the error of his ways)) I believe he has come understand the meaning of P.R. the hard way. Reminds me of a documentary on autism, technical aptitude can sometimes come at the cost of total inability to experience empathy with others, not due to technical or skill level differences, but instead due to a profound absense of "social mind reading" aptitude that most of us take for granted.
