Gears!!!! oh BOY!!! Everytime I see an Email that mentions gears it has the same question.. WHERE CAN I GET some cheap gears for my projects? Gear manufacturers like Stock Drive sell them but they are not cheap! and there is usually a minimum amount that you need to buy.. Others sell them but either too large or too small and then they are still expensive. I cannot justify paying $3 for a single nylon 100T 64 Pitch gear. I had to find a better way of getting all types of gears for my projects ... and you know you have to get various ones, specially if you design your own robots or make little RC helicopters, like me. American Science and Surplus sells tons of clock movements. These devices can be bought for about $2 each. Buy one take it apart and what do you get? A bunch of nylon gears in different sizes and pitches. They also have car navigation panels that have dials driven by GEARS GEARS GEARS!! I am not trying to advertise for American Science and Surplus, I simply love the place becasue I can get all types experimental things for peanuts. Looked them up on the nternet. Care to see a short video or pictures of my helis I have build with surplus gears? Visit me @: http://members.aol.com/microchper/mia280.htm Regards, Mario
