You can programming PIC16C71 with PIP-02 and with seriall programmer, but RS232 port can't give enough current and voltage to programm EEPROM PICs. You must add to that project external power supply : 13V / 10-20 mA with electronicall ON/OFF switch. If RS232- Tx is high, then switch must be ON. That voltage have to be connected to PICs MCLR pin. My question: did somebody see newest PIP-02 software which can programming latest PICs (16C505, 16F87.. etc)? Regards: Karesz
