Well, actually, I was looking at FSM yesterday and I saw an ad by another
company for an "EL experimenter's kit" for USD22.95. From the picture,it
looks like you get an EL sheet,an inverter,a battery holder,and several
color filters to change the color of the EL sheet (evidently, the sheet
itself gives off white light). It does,however,look like the sheet couldn't
be trimmed to size,because it has pre-attached electrodes. Anyway,here is
