JRC's JLR-702A is about $100 US and comes with an integrated antenna, and wiring harness for direct connection to a PC or laptop, deriving power from the PS2 connector. They work really slick and have a tight binary protocol for intelligent data compression. It is incased in a 1.5 x 1.5 inch weatherproof case, and has a whopping -130 dBm sensitivity. I get all 8 satellites from within my home office! If any other GPS manufacturer even specifies the sensitivity, I would like to know about it! The JLR-800, just coming out, will also support NMEA output. I went with JRC's product because: 1) I used to work for them. 2) I find their GPS and radio products are very conservatively spec'd. 3) I couldn't find anything cheaper without buying huge quantities or buying an expensive development kit. 4) Integrated antenna. 5) Specifications meeting or exceeding Trimble and Motorola for the same class of product. 6) Smaller than anything else I could buy. 7) Good design (I did a manufacturing and test review on it a few years ago) 8) Case, mounting bracket, o-ring and 6 foot wiring harness included. 9) Module can be stripped from chassis and integrated into your product easily as all shielding is integrated into module. They also make AWESOME ham radios. If you are interested, I can find you a contact in your area.
