The easiest way to do this is to get the X10 TW-523 bidirectional module and interface to it. Someone had designed a PIC based part that provided a simple interface to the TW-523. I've forgotten the name though. It was advertised in Circuit Cellar Ink about 4 years ago if that helps. I abandoned X10 because it was too unreliable. None of the filtering or bridging techniques out there ever solved the problem of modules flipping on and off at random intervals or ignoring commands. So I went to a hardwired system for controlling certain lights in the house. Ultrareliable. Good luck on your quest. BAJ
