Just yesterday I finished 2 more apps for a customer of mine with a 508. Application No. 3 - Digital pot - D/A ( Mechatronics ? ) Pin 7 of 508 generating PWM with LP filter. Pin 2 and 3 connected to 24LC00. Pin 4 and 5 connected to two switches (up/down). Pressing the up and down key increases and decreases the DC voltage at the output of the LP filter.(10mV ripple) >From the last key pressed, a 5 second timeout will write the PWM duty cycle ( on time only - 1 byte, since the off time is complement of the on time ) to the 24lc00. On power up the 24lc00 is read and the duty cycle is restored. Application No. 4 - Counter / Running hour meter Used a HOLTEK 10 digit LED display module via 2 wire interface to 508 (pin 7 and 6). 24LC00 connected to pin 2 and 3. Pin 4 connected to power fail detect and pin 5 clock input. On power up, if pin 7 is low, the device works as running hour meter and counter if high. On detection of a power fail, the current values are written to the 24lc00. On power up the 24lc00 is read and the values are restored.
