Tim , what about a touch switch, the one like what is on lamps.You could
touch a metal object and open a small solenoid valve whis allows water to
flow threw a plastic much in the way water is sent to your refrigerator ice
maker.I have been working on a design that would tell me the depth of the
water in my well by using a Lm339 comparator a few resistors and thermisitors
to light leds to indicate the presence of water to the house but lack the
knowlege or how to program.that is what I am trying to learn.An help as to
how I can get started? I purchased a book called Easy Pic'n but it seems to
assume the prior knowlege of some programming and I have none.In any case I
could send you my well circuit and you could adapt to that if you like .I
