Off topic again, sorry, but I'm in parts search mode and I know there's a
lot of expertise and experience in electronics (not just PICs) on this
list:

I'm looking for a good crystal driven counter/timer in a small package
that I could use to for two things: externally clocking a uart (MAX3100,
probably), and also simultaneously clocking serial data out of the uart
and out of some A/D converters. I'm trying to avoid two crystals on the
board (the uart can be crystal driven, but has no baud rate out pin).

Newbie alert: I know virtually nothing about counter/timers, so far, so
I'm also seeking an education. Private email encouraged.
