I upgraded to the latest MPLAB release, and subsequently upgraded
the Picstart+ firmware to 2.0 so I could program the 16F877 parts.

Checking it out now, it seems that I CAN program both the 2wire
and 3wire memory devices, as well as the HCS parts.

I am pleasantly surprised, thank you for asking that question. I
just felt an eerie rush of power trickling up my spine.....

Also, thank you Microchip for such all around nice tools.
