And those tend to break their parallel ports, too often. You can buy a serial port PCMCIA card for $60ish (perhaps less if lucky on auctions, think I paid $30 for my pair), usually, or a parallel port PCMCIA card (usually about $120 plus. No luck yet there.) How about IrDA, while we're at it? (Only half joking, many laptops have that capability - and no connector wear if you used this method, which would be a plus... Could build a Palm Pilot assembler, maybe, under Palm Linux.) Mark
