I've released a resident bootloader for the new Microchip PIC16F87x
parts. The bootloader talks to a host computer over a serial port. The
whole idea is that you don't need any external hardware or special
software to upload a new image to your board. No more sockets,
programmers, or funky software; just a 9 pin serial cable and
