The UK mag EPE ran a project along these lines a few months ago - It is
a PIC based video signal date/time stamper based on a PIC, the code for
it can be found on their ftp site at
ftp://ftp.epemag.wimborne.co.uk:21/pub/PICS/timedate
a back issue of the mag is available from their web site at
http://www.epemag.wimborne.co.uk/
I'm not sure if is what you want, but sounds something like it.
