The latest version I have of pip-02 is ver. 1.26.  I run it through a win98 session, no prob.  Just make sure you run both COM84 and pip02 in the SAME session (with a batch file).  Maybe the latest version fixes the speed problem.

BTW I'm using a 100Mhz Pentium :>(

OH yes of course i have forgotten, about slowdown.com.
Well thats true, on earlier releases of pip-02 anyways, but the makers of pip-02 fixed this on a later version. so i do not see why that should be a problem now, with ver. 1.18.
But in case i am wrong, i have for your convenience uploaded it to my http.

P.S i believe you may not run it though while in a win98 session, so restart in DOS mode.

Good luck
Robert

Subject: Re: PIP-02 Programmer

I've found the cause of my problem, yet the solution is still unknown. I ran the COM84 driver on a Pentium MMX 166MHz and it worked fine! So, as Nigel said, my PII must my problem. Of course exchanging it with Nigel for his P166 is not such a good idea :o), so I still need your help. I thought someone said something about a program that slows down your processor. Is it safe and if yes, does it really work? Is there a programmer 100% compatible with PIP-02?

I'm desperate, Argiris :o)

P.S. The TP7 patch doesn't work on PIP-02
