Glenville T. Sawyer - South Australia Theatre, Concert Lighting, Special Effects, Props. & more ! Embedded Control systems for Theatrical & other Applications http://gsawyer.mtx.net/ PCB Methods.. For quick circuits I have used a normal LASER printer output ( and in a couple of tests - just a plain Monochrome photocopier image) - if you use a slightly heavier weight of paper and remember to MIRROR the PCB layout, you can simply Iron-onto a piece of well cleaned copper-clad, use plenty of heat - the highest setting that you can, press down hard and do NOT use "Mom's favorite iron" !!!! Results vary from very good to almost unusable, however it can and does work - without special papers etc, I etch with Fe-Cl3 so if you use another type of etchant - then carry out some tests on a small piece of board first, after etch, clean off with "Wire-wool" or any other scourer, but like all PCB, ensure the surface is CLEAN and free of contaminants. And hey - if that does not work for you, then THIS DOES.. Using your laser or Photocopier, you can reverse iron on to Cotton T-Shirts - the resultant image is a medium to dark brown - looks a lot like an old "sepia toned" photo when finished - I found this by accident 5 years ago, and made up a few "special" shirts - featuring antique radio gear on the front - they will eventually wash / fade out over about 3 years - but what the heck - cheaper than going to a Screen printer for one-off specials. If you want to know more - then PLEASE email me privately - NOT the list. My $0.02 is spent ! Glenville.
