Would anyone >care to share their opinions, good or bad, on the various >emulators on the market? >Brian Aase ICEPIC is a fine emulator, if you don't mind being down half the time, having tech support from Britain with a lighting quick three day turnaround, no 3 volt operation, no tolerance of any power supply variations, no schematics of the cables you have to build by trial and error, and a slow serial interface that can't ever seem to figure out where the program is at any given time. Between GP faults. Many people have good luck with thier ICEPICs, to be fair. MCHIP is also quick to replace bad ones (I've had three) I'd go with MPLAB-ICE if I had to do it over again. DOn't scrimp - cheap ones are cheap.
