Hi Ryan and Jagath, What has happened is that you slightly magnetized metal parts of the TV with the speaker magnet. I have had some luck in fixing the problem by CAREFULLY (I mean don't put it right next to the TV right away, experiment with the distance) taking a small magnet which you can hold in your hand and moving it in circles around the TV. Try moving it in clockwise and counter-CW directions and varying the orientation of the circles and their distance from the TV. The RIGHT way to fix this is with a Degaussing Coil, which is just a big coil which can be plugged into the AC (120V) supply and placed near parts of the TV. I doubt you have one of these, though. Try the magnet and see what happens, Sean At 08:47 PM 3/18/99 -0500, you wrote: >ok i put it back on top and the shading diapears... >but then I take the speaker away and the shading reapears... >can i put the speaker underneath the TV for a little >while to fix it, since I did the original damage by >placeing it on top of the TV.??? > > > >>Subject: [OT] TV + speaker -Reply >> >>Ryan, >> >>You are not the only one!! it happend to me too ! >> >>Use the same speaker to remove the shading by >>moving it close to that area.
